Homesteading on the Oregon Trail.
The last time we spoke we were headed north to the Smith River and the Giant Sequoias in
Oregon. Found the giants to be an excellent winching platform when stuck in the volcanic
pumis in Oregon. As for the Steelhead, we were too early for the season (or too late
depending on who you talk to) so will "catch" them on our way back down.
Refueling at the Alaskan Pipeline.
Oregon's infamous McGrew trail (an old Indian trading trail) was our next challenge, then
on to Washington where Rover Accessories outfitted us with OME
suspension, ARB bumper and a Warn winch. Now we are ready to tackle anything; well, almost
anything.
Outrunning the weather in Alaska.
From there we loaded our rig onto the ferry and took the Inside Passage north. We are
definitely a conversation piece because you don't see too many Land Rovers suited up.
Maybe we'll start a trend....
